Broken Clocks
Isn't it funny how time works. When you are dying for the clock to skip 4th period it moves as slow as it can but when you and your friends are having the time of your life the night flies! Sometimes I wish we could relive moments in our lives, but we can't so we just have to make the most out of every moment.

I am president of Anwatin Middle School and I have never felt more proud. I've gotten so many opportunities to do so much that I would have never done if I wasn't so involved. Being class president gave me a whole new look on life. So I began to think about all the people who make fun of the teachers and complain about school being boring. Then I thought about why they tend not to do their work and fail their classes eventually I put two and two together and got the answer. Kids aren't bad, or even stupid. They just don't know and no one ever takes the time out to help them understand. Instead they send them out the room and roll their eyes. Kids feel they have no one to talk to or someone that understands. They just treat one kid how they treat the other. Take my AVID teacher for example. There is a boy in my class that is really shy. He doesn't talk to many people and it's hard for him to pay attention in class, we even think he may have a disorder, but my AVID teacher doesn't seem to cut him any slack. She is constantly picking on him saying things like, "You need to pay attention" and "Why don't you just raise your hand and ask me" using the harshest voice she could use. Now I understand when teachers try to get someone out of their comfort zone but you are taking it to far when you are making someone feel uncomfortable.
I don't speak for all kids or for all schools, this is just what I observed at Anwatin Middle School in Minneapolis, MN. Teachers should really learn how to deal with kids in that age group in that particular type of neighborhood because you can't treat every kid the same.

I've always had this dream of fame, I never settle for anything else. As everyone screams teacher, doctor, athletic, lawyer. I think singer, actress, writer, tv host.
My chances of getting there are slim, but I will make it. Success is in my blood.
Everyone I meet should remember my face, get to know me while you can.
My name will be in lights one day, anyday. Just wait, and see.....
